Welcome to the Scott family property
Moothandella. Located in the Channel Country region of
western Queensland, Moothandella is owned by Bruce and Maureen
Scott and their daughters who are the fifth generation of the
family to reside at Moothandella.
Bruce and Maureen are passionate graziers who aim to produce quality Santa Gerturdis cattle while nuturing their very marginal land systems.
Bruce is also a consultant to local government authorities specialising in telecommunications.
Maureen runs her Virtual Assistant Service
from their home office.
telecommunications, local government experience
typing, transcribing, itinerary preparation, travel bookings, event management, etc...
After 18 years as a Local Government Councillor, 12 of which as
Mayor, Bruce has now turned this experience into a service to help
local authorities to obtain the best services and outcomes for
their communities.
Having run the office side of the family business for the past 24 years and prior to that working in the Public Sector Maureen uses these skills to provide quality administrative support services through her role as a Virtual Assistant.
Moothandella runs Santa Gertrudis cows which are joined to Santa Gertrudis bulls from April to September annually. Calves are branded in June/July and weaned in October. After a couple weeks of handling and feeding the weaners are sent to an agistment property to grow out ready for sale at approximately two and a half years of age. A percentage of heifers are returned to Moothandella to join the breeding herd.
